The President of the Association of the Osmotic Membrane Industry of China (MIAC) heads an official delegation visiting Morocco

At the invitation of the Africa-China Cooperation Association (ACCAD) and the QT Water Tech (Morocco), Mr. Zheng Genjiang, president of the Association of the Osmotic Membrane Industry of China (MIAC) and Mr. Li Youqing, Vice-President of the International Desalination Association (IDA), led a delegation of high-level Chinese seawater desalination specialists and manufacturers from June 15 to June 22.

The Chinese leading desalination enterprises of Harbin Lepu, Shandong Zhaojin Metian, Hangzhou Water Treatment Technology R&D Center (BLUESTAR), Suzhou Qiantong Environment, Shanghai Snape, Shanghai Saiao and Hangzhou Parkson Water, was represented by their Presidents of General Managers. They discussed with their Moroccan partners the possibility of relocating parts of their production units to Morocco given the potential of this industry in the African continent.

Dr Nasser BOUCHIBA, President of the ACCAD, led the delegation to Tangier, Hoceima and Nador. The delegation held meetings with those responsible for the industrial areas of Tanger Med, the Oriental Hydraulic Basin and researchers in the multidisciplinary faculty of Nador.

Mr Zheng Genjiang expressed his support for Moroccan researchers to make visits to Chinese universities and research centers and also the possibility of providing scholarships for young Moroccan researchers to integrate Chinese universities.
